5/17/20 UPDATE: We are meeting in Person for Worship on Sunday Mornings at 10:05
Don’t Feel Pressure To Come
If you or someone you have been exposed to has recently exhibited COVID-19 symptoms, please do not come to church. Also, if you are not comfortable being out in public yet or are in a high-risk category, please do not feel any pressure whatsoever to come. We continue to LIVEstream the service on Facebook.
If You Do Come, It Will Be Different
For those who feel led to attend in-person worship gatherings again, there are some changes our church is making.
Until further notice, the following precautions are in effect.
-There will be no Sunday School / Bible Fellowship
-There will be no nursery or child-care during the morning gathering until we feel it is safe to do so.
-We will replace the fabric chairs with plastic Lifetime chairs that can be easily wiped down / sanitized
-The ‘rows’ of chairs will be replaced with ‘family groups’ that are spaced out to provide social distancing standards and to encourage us to spread out around the sanctuary.
-We will designate one side of the room for those over 60 or whose health is compromised, but wish to attend. (Western wall with windows)
-A new way of collecting the offering will be developed (there will be a box placed near the entrance doors)
-We will enter and exit through the front double doors on the south side of the building ONLY (the North entrance in the children’s
area will be locked).
-Church Safety Team members will insure the doors are open to reduce the amount of shared surfaces that are touched
-There will be hand sanitizing stations and wipes positioned throughout the sanctuary
-We will ask everyone to honor social distancing while in the sanctuary interacting with others as well as in the parking lot.
-Masks will be available at the entrance doors, however, A face covering is NOT required
-Those who fall into the more vulnerable category are encouraged to wear a face mask
-We will ask all parents to keep their children with them at all times in their appointed ‘family group’ of chairs / table before and after the service. (We love the children hanging out and running around enjoying one another as parents talk….however, we will not be able to start there once we reconvene but hope to move back there as restrictions lift.)
-We will continue to stream the service on Facebook live for those still uncomfortable attending or for families concerned about children sitting through the full service.
-Knowing little children will be in the service, we will shorten our normal service
-We will dismiss ‘family groups’ after the service concludes and leave through the double doors.
-Those ‘family groups’ closest to the entrance doors will leave first
-After everyone has exited the building, a cleaning crew will stay and disinfect the chairs / tables to prepare for next Sunday.
I know this may sound like a bit much, but we would rather over prepare and lighten these restricts in the coming weeks than return to gathering together ill-prepared or make certain folks feel unsafe.
Our aim is to make sure all feel safe and comfortable to return. We will start here and gradually lift these restrictions moving forward as circumstances allow.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Looking Forward to worshiping with my church family in Person!
-Pastor Mike
